I have been teaching in primary education for 15 years in different schools in the United Kingdom, Vietnam, The United Arab Emirates and Russia. Having been at ISM for 11 years, it is obviously a place I love to teach!
I am passionate about teaching, particularly English, and love to see the development in a child's love for reading and writing. Another area I am keen to support the children in is within philosophy. Using Philosophy for Children (P4C) in the classroom certainly helps the pupils to understand the world around them by developing their thinking in a deeper and broader way. I am keen to develop independence in my classroom, including encouraging pupils to confidently share their opinions as well as respecting others.
Qualifications:BEd (HONS) Degree in Primary Education from the University College of St Mark and St John
