Learning to march and play music at the same time isn’t as easy as it looks – especially when you’ve never marched before.

Before The Village School Band represents Texas in Washington DC to march in the national Memorial Day Parade on the National Mall, Village students taught Fox reporter Sally MacDonald to march in the band. 

The Village School Band will march in the Memorial Day Parade on Monday, May 29. Watch the Live Stream on Monday at 2:00 PM. The students will also perform a concert on Sunday, May 28 at the Air Force Memorial.

The Village School and NAE's collaboration with UNICEF provides opportunities for our students to engage with and influence leaders at regional and global summits. One of these recent events was the NAE-UNICEF Global Goals Student Summit 2021. Village students Alex Ilacqua and Solemei Scamaroni served as our student ambassadors and were given the opportunity to connect virtually with other students around the world and discuss topics such as climate change, mental health, and education.

Abhi Sundaram and Samir Kavadi, Village High School Class of 2014, recently began their own business, CHAIBOY™. Aimed at reshaping the tea industry’s identity, their company explores the various ways in which tea can be used to create everlasting experiences.

Adeline Mai, Village sophomore, and her dance company were recently named finalists in the 2021 Young American Grand Prix Finals. YAGP is the world’s largest ballet competition with over 12,000 auditions in more than 25 cities around the globe.
