Behind the Scenes: Art in Grease

Year 9 art students and Year 12 and 13 CAS students have created some stunning props and scenery for the school production of ‘Grease’.

We are all looking forward to seeing the High School production of ‘Grease’ this week. Many students have been involved in the creation of props and scenery for the show, working hard to finish work in time. The CAS students of Years 12 and 13 in Art and Design Technology, led by Anouk, have been working on the design and creation of scenery, including the fantastic ‘Greased Lightning’ car. Producing theatrical design is an enormous and time consuming task and students have given up hours of their free time to create imaginative work, inspired by Pop artists like Patrick Caulfield and Claus Oldenburg.
