Machine Learning Course out of date now
Year 13 IB Visual Arts students at St Andrews International School Bangkok have been practising their drawing skills and meeting artistic alumni.
It has been a busy week for Year 13 Visual Arts students. Not only have they been working hard to develop work for their final exhibition in March 2019, but they have also been refreshing their drawing skills with a “gestural drawing” workshop. A great technique for improving drawing skills is to draw using the whole arm, with a piece of charcoal, or similar material, attached to the end of a long stick. It helps the artist loosen up, and working at arms length allows one to see one’s work better. The resulting images are fresh and expressive, capturing a sense of the dynamism of the subject. On Friday they were also treated to a visit by alumni art student Gene Karujitr, who is currently studying Fine Art at Chelsea School of Art in London. Gene left St Andrews in 2016 having graduated with a level 7 in IB Visual Arts and shared her advice for building portfolios, Art school applications and surviving life as an Visual Arts student.
