Bangkok Buddies

Bangkok Buddies is an inclusive social opportunity for students to make new friendships whilst having fun on a Friday afternoon.

Bangkok Buddies staffing will be based on best practice decisions regarding the nature and needs of the students attending these trips. Each trip will consist of small group excursions/activities with the goal of allowing students the freedom to practice and generalise their social skills within familiar peer circles. 

Students with high levels of independence and increasing social skills and awareness will be paired or grouped with one adult. Students who require more significant support and supervision will be matched with an LSA to support their needs. This way of managing staff is appropriate for the objective and vision of the Bangkok Buddies program initiative. We ideally want students to integrate into the community with confidence and autonomy, fading back prompting and direct instructions from adults. 

Bangkok Buddies has been a success with our High School learning support students, and we are now pleased to announce that we can offer the Primary learning support students the opportunity to join the fun with our Friday afternoon activities for Term 1 in August 2023. 

Lastly, this summer, we are offering Primary and High School learning support students the opportunity to join our Bangkok Buddies camp, which will run from 26th June 2023 until 30th June 2023.
