On 17th June BCB secondary school students took part in a house sports day. Students competed in a variety of team events, each worth up to 100 house points. The team with the most house points at the end of day won the coveted house trophy!
The day started with a football and volleyball tournament. All of the games were very competitive with many ending on a tie break or penalty shoot-out to decide the winners.
Next on the agenda was dodgeball… the teams ducked, dived and dodged their way through 6 intense matches.
The risk takers, communicators and thinkers came on top in this game. The aim of the game was to finish with the most players left on the field.
Tug of war was the crowd favourite! The biggest and strongest in each house battled hard to heave their way to victory.
The final event was the house relay! Every member of the house took part, competing in a 60-metre sprint. The first house with all members across the line took the house points!
The results were in! Tigers stormed ahead in the last two events to claim victory with an impressive 525 house points!
The house cup is safely in their hands until next year!
Overall, the day was a great success! The students demonstrated teamwork, collaboration, leadership, and sportsmanship in a fantastic display of the values that BCB students proudly uphold.
A big thank you to all the staff and students that made the event possible, we are already looking forward to next year!
