Matthew Powell

I have taught in many locations including the United Kingdom, United States of America, Gabon and for a total of ten years at Sakhalin International School in the Russian Far East. In most of my jobs, I have taught classes in Year Four, Five and Six, but I have also had other roles including teaching P.E, swimming and science. As a teacher, I believe that learning should be engaging and fun, and that our students should have many opportunities to develop important personal qualities such as cooperation, independence and respect. Outside of school, I enjoy playing and watching all kinds of sport, particularly snowboarding (along with my wife and daughter), golf and mountain biking.
