Ashley Mims

Ms. Mims received her Bachelor of Music Performance and Bachelor of Music Education with an instrumental emphasis and teaching certification PreK-12 from the University of Montevallo, and her Master of Music in Performance from the University of New Mexico. This is her eighth year of full-time teaching, and her sixth year teaching abroad.

Professionally, she has experienced a wide range of successes from recording a professional album with the Boston Brass Quintet, leading her ensembles through successful performance assessments, and organizing diverse collaborative performances with her colleagues. She is passionate about the ability of ensemble performance to unlock and develop learners of all ages musically, professionally, and socially. She wishes for her students to grow into future global citizens excited, curious, and eager to contribute to a cause they are passionate about.
