The Simon Lawrence Library at High School launches its Paper Wings competition which is a novel way to add to its ever-growing selection of books. There are yet more titles in the new arrivals section for you to check out and enjoy.
The Simon Lawrence Library is encouraging students to participate in the last contest of this academic year, the “Paper Wings Contest”. To enter you should pick up a sheet of “official paper” from the Library and design your own paper airplane, using only coloring pens or pencils. Only cutting and folding are allowed and you cannot use any other materials in your design. All participants should write their name and the title of a book they would like to see in the Library on their paper airplane. The winners will be the students whose paper plane flies the farthest and the book of their choice will be added to the Library’s ever-growing collection. They will have the honour of being the first person to be able to check out their book. The contest takes place on Wednesday, 6 June 2018 at 1.00 p.m. There are only 100 places available so be sure to pick up your paper soon and secure your spot. Please note that there is only one entry per person. Papers will be given out on a first come first served basis. Good luck to everyone.
The Simon Lawrence Library has yet more new arrivals. Titles include some graphic novels and several world-popular series in children’s and teen literature such as the entire collection of “Tom Gates” written by Liz Pichon as well as a young-adult dystopian science fiction book series “Gone” written by Michael Grant. Some recommended books from Nord Anglia Education are displayed as well. We hope you enjoy our new books.
