ECAs, Lunar New Year and Primary School Facilities

There was a great atmosphere across both High School and Primary School last week as everyone returned to school and quickly settled into their studies. It was great to see friends catching up again after the three week holiday.

We would also like to extend a warm welcome to all new St Andrews families. We hope you and your children have had a great first week as part of our school community.

Extra-Curricular and Sports Programmes

This coming week will see the start of the sports and extra-curricular programme. Both our campuses will be very busy after school with a huge number of students participating in a wide range of activities throughout the week. It is always wonderful to feel the buzz of all the different activities students are taking on after school. If you have any questions on how your child can participate, please email support@standrews.ac.th.

Lunar New Year Celebrations

Next Friday, the Primary School staff and students will come to school dressed in red to celebrate the Lunar New Year. During both morning break times, there will be a “Lion Dance” performed in the Year 6 Quad - a great spectacle for all to enjoy.

Parent Satisfaction Survey

As you will be aware, St Andrews International School Bangkok is a member of the Nord Anglia Education (NAE) family of schools. Each year, NAE carries out an annual Parent Satisfaction Survey for each of its schools to help us improve our understanding of how we are performing in key areas.

We are very pleased to announce that next week, we shall be launching this year's survey. You will be sent a link to the confidential survey to give honest, constructive feedback on a whole range of areas in which our school operates. This survey is anonymous, with the results being fed back to the school once the closing date has passed.

The information we receive really helps the school to determine our priorities for our future development plans, which are updated annually during Term 3.This allows us to focus our efforts to improve areas where parents feel attention is needed.

I would love every family within our community to complete this survey as everyone's input really allows us to get some very useful and comprehensive information on the direction of our plans over the coming year. Getting everyone to complete the survey will mean the results reflect our whole community's feelings.

Primary School Facilities

This last weekend more work was undertaken on our waterways, as areas where potential leaks could occur were investigated and mended. More plants have arrived for the smaller waterways while we wait for the plan from our Thai specialists who are developing the overarching concept of how the waterway will be managed with a water floor along with all the natural plants resources required to make a self-sustaining, healthy water system. Thai fish were introduced this weekend, which again contributes to this balanced ecosystem.
