George Lupe

BEd. I graduated with a Bachelor of Education in Mathematics and Electronics at Moi University, Kenya and started my teaching career as a teacher in tertiary institutions, teaching digital electronics to post high school students. Then I moved to international school teaching and I have taught Mathematics, Physics and Design technology in Kenya, Papua New Guinea and now China. While in the international schools, I have taught IB Mathematics, both MYP and Diploma, IGCSE Mathematics and A levels as well as AB and BC Calculus for the AP curriculum. I have also taught IGCSE Physics and Design technology ( Graphic design) . The experience gained so far has enabled me to also work for the IB as an examiner; AI Mathematics SL & IA moderator and CIE as Mathematics examiner. I believe in inquiry based learning of Mathematics. I also believe in the fact that students come to class with their own knowledge from different environments, and it is my work as an educator to excite and arouse those knowledge and mould them into Mathematical concepts. I look forward, with a lot of excitement to my engagement with students at BSB Shunyi, where I have accepted the role of Mathematics teacher come August 2021. My family has lived and worked in China for 5 years now. My wife Rita works as teacher of Chemistry in one of the schools in Beijing, the same school where my son Carl and daughter Pritty go to. I am an avid lover of football, a game I play during weekends. As a family, we also love watching movies in our free times.
