The British College of Brazil is now an authorized IB World School for the Diploma Programme

Our secondary academic team has done an outstanding job getting us through the accreditation process over the last two years. However, this is really a community achievement. The visiting team from the IB were very specific to make sure that they not only commended those teachers who will be directly delivering the IB Diploma, but also those teachers in Primary and EYFS sections and administrative staff they met who proved they had a good understanding and interest in the Diploma while also displaying those characteristics inherent for the IB ethos and philosophy. They were also impressed by pupils from every area of the school who displayed elements of the “IB Learner Profile” over and over again during their visit. Finally, it is fair to say that our parent body has been very generous in their support and patience during this phase in the school’s journey – so thank you all.
