Last Year, our students in Year 7 studied in Portuguese classes about intertextuality and recreated posters of movie names and cartoons by mixing them with food names.
The idea came about because of a supermarket advertisement that also played with names of films and drawings with food.
Students should realize that intertextuality consists of using their knowledge of the world to recognize which were the references that we can identify in the new texts (that is, on which films, advertisements, characters, the new texts are based).
