OUR SOCIAL PURPOSE

Whether they’re leading debates for Model United Nations, going on an expedition abroad, or fundraising for a charity with specific needs in the community, students at The British College of Brazil build their global citizenship to make an impact in the world.

A GLOBAL VISION THAT STARTS AT SCHOOL

At The British College of Brazil, we fully embrace our diversity. It’s woven into the fabric of our community: 60% of BCB students represent over 38 nationalities, enriching our inclusive school with many different ideas and perspectives, while encouraging cross-cultural friendships and life-long connections.

Students care about each other and what they can bring to the world. As part of the Nord Anglia family, BCB students connect with over 70,000 students in our global community through international events, expeditions, and virtual challenges using our online platform, Global Campus. These outstanding international experiences among our diverse community shape each child as a global citizen ready to succeed anywhere.

GIVING BACK TO THE COMMUNITY

Students at The British College of Brazil choose charity projects that benefit our greater community, using their skills and talents to assist others’ needs.

Working collaboratively with our Parent Teacher Association, for example, students have fundraised at school events (like International Day, Bake sales, Festa Junina, Christmas Fayre, 2nd Sale, among others). They’ve made food baskets for children with Casa da Crianca e Adolescente de Santo Amaro – securing an incredible R$29 thousand and 37 benefactors this past year.

During the COVID-19 crisis, they also fundraised to support families who were severely affected and had difficulty working throughout the pandemic. These steps made a direct impact in the lives of others.
