Mr. Troutman has over 25 years’ experience in education. He is a lifelong learner and master of psychological thought and metacognition. He understands how to best challenge students and to help them learn how to learn. After graduating from Pennsylvania State University with a BS Education and Mathematics, he spent the next 17 years teaching mathematics at the high school and university levels in Pennsylvania. During this time, he earned his master’s degree in Counseling Psychology from Immaculata University, Pennsylvania.

In addition to teaching Mathematics, he has been the Gifted and Talented Coordinator, College Counselor and Guidance Counselor. In 2012, Greg began teaching in China at the Tianjin-Teda International School. There he taught AP Calculus AB/BC, AP Psychology as well as other high-level math courses. He brought his two children to China and they both graduated and went to study at universities in the United Kingdom.
