As part of our Primary School Thai lessons, Year 5s are learning the names and related vocabulary for vegetables and herbs in Thai. These words can be used in daily conversations as well as in reading and writing. In addition to their class lessons, students have also planted some of the most popular Thai vegetables and herbs in our new garden.
This activity has been a great opportunity to learn and enjoy a hands-on gardening project outside the classroom. We are especially proud that this project integrates and highlights our continuous effort in being a "sustainable eco-school for our community" into these Thai lessons.
Our students have already seen the fruits of their labours, as they have taken their grown products (kale, Chinese cabbage, and Thai coriander) home this week to use as ingredients in cooking their meals, certainly a delicious addition!
