We recently shared stories and poems from around the world and reminded ourselves of all the great works of Roald Dahl.
St Andrews International School Bangkok celebrated the 103rd birthday of the great and much loved author Roald Dahl on Friday by reminding ourselves of some of his most famous books and the children also enjoyed completing a character word search.
We celebrated UNESCO’s 52nd International Literacy Day in the PS Library from Friday 6th - Tuesday 10th September embracing this year’s theme of ‘Literacy and Multilingualism’ by sharing ‘Stories From Around the World’. The children enjoyed learning more about and reading and sharing stories and poems from many countries around the world including India, The Caribbean, Africa, Malaysia, Europe and South America.
Parents are welcome to relax and share books with their children in the library before and after school, but please remember that during the school day, the library is a teaching space.
The PS Library is open to parents from 07:00 - 07:45 am and 2:30 - 4:00 pm. Children should be accompanied by a parent/guardian during these times.
If you would like to relax whilst waiting to collect your children we invite you to please use the Lounge at Room T21 on the 2nd floor of the T-building where there are comfortable sofas, aircon, tea/ coffee and washroom facilities. Thank you for your cooperation.
We will be continuing to share our news and messages on Facebook this school year so please DO follow us to keep in touch.
The St Andrews Bangkok House Music Competition encourages musical students and families to compete for House Points, this year we have combined this competition with the NAE Global Campus Virtual Young Musician of the Year. This is a great competition where students are able to showcase their musical skills in many different categories. Every student is welcome to submit their entries into their school competition.
It's been another busy week across the school with lots of discussion about all the extra-curricular activities that were on offer, as well as the wide range of sports opportunities for children to get involved in.
