On Friday 6th October 2023, our Key Stage 1 (Year 1 and Year 2) students embarked on an exciting journey into the world of numbers and robots for our much-anticipated Numbots / Robots Day. A day filled with learning, creativity, and boundless enthusiasm from our students.

We kicked off the day with a vibrant parade. It was a special treat to see so many parents joining in the fun in the morning. The children paraded through the Sports Hall, proudly displaying their robot-themed costumes and creations and striking their best robot pose before returning to class to start their day of number based activities.

• Robot Colour by Number: Students expressed their artistic skills by colouring in robotic-themed pictures, reinforcing their understanding of numbers and colours.
• Making Robots Out of Shapes: The young artists and engineers created their own robots using geometric shapes, fostering creativity and problem-solving.

One of the most remarkable aspects of the day was the creative use of sustainable materials for costume making. Our students demonstrated their ingenuity by using items from home to craft incredible outfits, staying true to our commitment to sustainability and eco-consciousness. This not only made the event more environmentally friendly but also encouraged our children to think outside the box and use their resources wisely. We're proud of their resourcefulness and creativity!
