BCB Weekly Newsletter (7th of May 2021) Dear Parents, Each month we hold a Parent Teacher Association (PTA) meeting and one of the continuing questions is about school development. This is something that was being discussed before my arrival, between much of the community and Nord Anglia, after the school become part of the Nord Anglia Education Group. Then came the pandemic and all businesses across the globe had to evaluate their position, schools were no exception to this. However, since my arrival there has been much work, developing various business cases and the paragraphs below explain in a little more detail the efforts we are taking for development.

Dear Parents,

Each month we hold a Parent Teacher Association (PTA) meeting and one of the continuing questions is about school development.

Under new school leadership and with a shifting of market demand, and specifically the international student market, a review is ongoing to define and determine the school’s positioning in the marketplace and how that informs future programming and marketing, as well as, enrollment expectations and ultimately capacity and facility requirements.

These Facility requirements are being reviewed in context with both our current facilities and landlord negotiations, as well as, potential new school facility locations.  In both cases, a detailed feasibility study is being worked through that will include cost and time to market estimates.  Simultaneously, we are working with Nord Anglia Corporate Development Department to identify the capital structure to support these initiatives.

In either case, our market research is providing a path forward to capture increase market share resulting in enrollment growth by improving the overall brand awareness and improved future facilities of the school to an elite status.

All of this takes time and we appreciate the patience of the community as we look forward to the future!

Our next PTA meeting will be next Thursday, 13th May. If you are not currently involved and would like to be, have a question you want raising, then please do email them at pta-bcbbritishcollegebrazil.org and they also have an area on the website for you to visit Our Community. Collaborations are so important for a school and having this communication route is extremely helpful for joint understanding.

Have a good weekend and of course always remember our shared responsibility.
